His Voice

Following God is the most amazing journey anybody could ever embark upon
in this life. It’s an adventure like no other. But without God’s voice
directing us, we would be like a car running free without a driver.
At my last women's group meeting (A Christian Club), I talked about the importance
of hearing God’s voice. The day before our meeting, God dropped some
words in my spirit that made me really meditate on what I have found to
be the most important part of being a Christian. I heard Him saying,
“Living life without hearing My voice is like a train running free
without an engineer.” Wow! I know how true those words are!
My life used to be like a train wreck for sure. But when I got on the
path with God, life started flowing like a beautiful river. Proverbs 3,
verses 5 and 6 sum it up perfectly. I love the way the Message Bible
phrases it. V.5: Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to
figure out everything on your own. V. 6: Listen for God’s voice in
everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on
track.
A life lived based on Proverbs 3:5-6 can’t go wrong. There is no better
shepherd than Jesus, the King of the Universe. He directs our paths
perfectly, leading us to the destinies He planned for us before we were
born. When we are on the path with Him, life becomes the journey we were
meant to live. The struggle ends. It has taken me most of my life to
discover this. If only the mistakes of my past will help another soul
stay on the path with Jesus, it will be worth all the years I drifted
off the track with God.
I’m not talking about religion here. I am talking about truly following
the voice of the Father where He leads us no matter how hard it may be.
This is the track of God that leads to the abundant life Jesus promised us.
Life is like a ship lost at sea when lived without the calming assurance of the Father’s
words directing our paths.
His voice soothes. His voice comforts. His voice is the anchor of our souls.

NIV: “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of
your heart.”
The Message: “Keep company with God, get in on the best.”

Father,
Thank You for blessing me with the most amazing surprises and gifts. You
have truly given me the desires of my heart in many incredible ways. You
are an awesome God. I will continually praise You for all that You have
done for me. Let me delight in You and in Your will always. I love
you, my Daddy. Amen.
Whispers from God:
My heart’s desire is to show you My love in unimaginable ways. Trust Me
with your life, trust Me with your heart. Nobody loves you like Me.

My Strength and My Shield

Verse of the Day: Psalm 28:7
NIV: The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.
The Message: Blessed be God—He heard me praying. He proved He’s on my side; I’ve thrown my lot in with Him. Now I’m jumping for joy, and shouting and singing my thanks to Him.
A Prayer:
Father,
I am utterly amazed by You. From the moment I open my eyes each day, I think of You and Your great love. You have become my strength and shield. You’re everything to me. You have proven your love to me in so many magnificent ways. I trust You completely. Oh how Your love excites me! I want to shout to the world of Your great love. I want to sing You praises forever. Keep me in this place of peace forever more. I love you, my Daddy. Amen.
Whispers from God:
My heart leaps for joy for you, my beloved. Keep seeking Me and you will stay at peace forever more. Rest in Me and expect goodness all the days of your life.

For Our Good

The Message: “That’s why we can be so sure every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”
Father,
Thank You for Your amazing love. Thank You for loving me beyond my expectations. Thank You for taking every painful circumstance in my life and turning it into something good for me. Help me to continually see the good You are creating out of the difficulties in this life. Let me continually praise You whether I see good or not. I love you, my Daddy. Amen.

Worship in Spirit and Truth

Verse of the Day: John 4:23
NIV: “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
The Message: “But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Him in their worship.”
A Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for Your magnificent Love that draws me to Your feet. Thank You for pouring out Your grace on me. Thank You for teaching me to worship through the difficulties I have faced in this life. Thank You for the peace You have poured into my spirit through simple worship. Thank You for choosing me to love, nurture, and lavish with goodness. I am in AWE of who You are. I want to worship You all the days of my life. Let Your Glory shine upon my face. Make me a worshiper for eternity. Give me a heart that rejoices continually. Draw others to Your heart through the love they see in me. I love you, my Daddy. Amen.

Pray Without Ceasing

KJV: “Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The Message: “Pray all the time. Thank God no matter what happens. This
is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.”
A Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for Your great love, mercy,
and grace. Thank You for the way you make everything new in Your time.
Thank You for the destiny you have planned out for me and for loving me
just as I am. Make me a mighty woman of prayer. Give me the desire to
pray without ceasing. Draw me continually to Your Spirit and to Your
Truth. Woo me into Your arms and onto my knees. Let prayer be the most
important part of my day. I love you, my Daddy. Amen

Happy New Year!

There is no better time to renew our spirits and jump head first into the great things God has for each of us. I’m so excited about all that He has in store for this next year. I believe it’s going to be the most exciting year ever!
As long as we run from negativity and run into the arms of Jesus, we will see amazing things in our lives throughout 2010.
This past year has been an incredible year of watching God do miracles in my life while my husband has been out of work and attending college. I expect the coming year to be even better!
Jesus has flooded my heart over the past 12 months with His words. The one thing that stands out the most from 2009 is the day I heard Him saying, “I’m shaking RELIGION out of the Body of Christ.” He certainly has shaken religion out of my heart!
Call me crazy…I don’t care…I’m crazy in love with Jesus. And nothing excites me more than watching others get shaken by His love! There is no doubt…I’m a radical lover of Christ and I find great joy in His soul-freeing Spirit resting upon my life.
His love has shaken me in ways I could have never dreamed of.
His love makes every difficulty in this life a vapor in the wind. His love changes the most painful circumstances into a beautiful work of art. His love covers the soul with peace, joy, and goodness. His love is better than anything else!
Are you ready for Jesus to knock your socks off with His love? 2010 is going to be an amazing year of believers drawing closer to the heart of Christ. I can feel it in my bones…His love is rocking the world like never before.

Amazed

I could have never dreamed of the beauty God has created out of my brokenness. He took a complete mess and turned it into a peaceful sanctuary.
It's as though God took a canvas with chaos splashed across it and then meticulously created a stunning, magnificent painting.
I am amazed.

I’m beaming with joy as I realize what my Creator has done for me. He has taken my broken life and turned it into something better than anything I could have ever imagined!
I’m dancing around daydreaming about how I’m the luckiest girl alive! I have my Big, Strong Jesus on one arm and my STUDLY husband on the other arm…
Just in case my choice of words offends anyone...my definition of stud is different than the world’s definition.
My man is a stud because he loves Jesus and he prays with me and protects my heart. He writes me encouraging love letters, seeks God with ALL his heart. That’s why he’s a stud!
My dreams have come true! My prince has arrived in the man God created for me, that I married almost 25 years ago. My King has delivered the promise he gave me many years ago. For this…I am HAPPY!!!!

A New Song

With tears rolling down my cheeks, I fall down at the feet of the Father, bowing down in a position of submission. As I lay my head on the floor with my cheek nestled on my hand, I cry out for the strength of my Daddy. I pray, “Father, the obstacles on the path laid out for me feel too big.” His warm embrace envelops my heart. His love washes over me. His Spirit soothes my soul. The sweetness of His Presence encircles every ounce of my being.
I hear Him saying:
“Child, nothing is too big for Me. I’ll never ask you
to do more than I created you for. Rest in Me. Rest in My love, rest in
knowing there is nothing I’ll ask of you that will ever be too big. My
Grace is sufficient for you. In your weakness, My strength is made
perfect. Arise my child. Let me put a new song in your heart. Let My
love lift you up and carry you.”
His strength lifts my spirit. His words permeate my being. My soul is
restored. Joy replaces the tears. Love floods into my heart. Peace
covers me, making me ready to begin a new day with a new song in my
heart—a song of joy for celebrating the love I have found in my Father’s
arms.
